Jade was commissioned by The Laughing Cow to illustrate a children’s book A Very Cheesy Adventure as part of their marketing campaign, featuring their beloved cheese characters—Dip, Cubee, and Trixie. The project called for a vibrant, colorful palette and clean-edged illustration style to stay consistent with the brand’s visual identity.

Jade had a wonderful time illustrating this fun and whimsical story. She was given the creative freedom to design a magical world for the characters to explore, allowing her imagination to flourish while staying grounded in the narrative.

With the characters simplified in form, Jade paid special attention to body language and facial expressions to convey the context of each scene and to give each character a distinct personality. She also closely studied The Laughing Cow’s product packaging to ensure her illustrated versions were instantly recognizable and true to the original design, while maintaining a cohesive color palette.
